If you have an Android device you can cast your rental from our Android app to a compatible device. Chromecast is not supported on iOS devices (see the section on AirPlay instead).
- Open the app and play your movie.
- Tap the screen to show the controls.
- If the Chromecast icon appears in the bottom-right corner, casting is available.
- Tap the icon and choose your Chromecast device.
- All playback controls (pause, rewind, fast-forward, captions) live inside the Android app. Lock-screen controls on Android won’t work while casting.
You can also use Chromecast directly from your Google Chrome browser on a desktop computer:
- Open Video Store and play your movie inside of Google Chrome.
- If the Chromecast icon appears in the bottom-right corner, casting is available.
- Choose the icon and select your Chromecast device.
Some things to keep in mind: your device and external Chromecast must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Built-in Chromecast may not be supported on some models of TV. If you share your TV model number with our customer support team, they can check compatibility for you.
